What it does: Removes and installs the nozzle safely
A nozzle wrench is a small, often spanner-shaped tool designed specifically to remove and tighten the airbrush nozzle without damaging it. Nozzles are tiny, fragile, and threaded into the airbrush body with precise torque — too tight cracks the nozzle or the nozzle seat; too loose causes air leaks and spray problems.
Most airbrushes ship with their own nozzle wrench matched to that nozzle size. Universal nozzle wrenches exist but check compatibility before using one on your airbrush.
Correct tightening: Finger-tight plus approximately a quarter turn with the wrench. No more. If you feel significant resistance, stop — you’re either cross-threaded or over-tightening.
Never use: Regular pliers, adjustable wrenches, or improvised tools. The forces are too hard to control and you will crack the nozzle or damage the seat.
