Mac Valve

Mac Valve

A MAC valve is an inline valve fitted between the air hose and the airbrush that lets you control airflow without touching the airbrush trigger. By twisting the valve, you can shut off air completely between uses, adjust airflow, or cut air while changing paint cups.

Benefits:

  • Shut off air instantly without adjusting compressor settings.
  • Useful when switching between airbrushes or stepping away mid-session.
  • Some models include a moisture trap, providing two functions in one inline fitting.
  • Reduces wear on the airbrush trigger over long sessions.

Mac valves are a small, inexpensive upgrade ($10–$20) that many experienced artists consider essential equipment.
